First of all, How annoyingly beautiful is this girl?! I feel as though I can say that as Michaela is no regular client of mine, she has been one of my longest friends since high school days! She's just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside! Im so thankful we have remained great friends as we pretty much share the same passion. Pretty sure we started hanging out when I was 15 and Michaela 14 as she was in the year below me at school. Even back then we were so into makeup, more so than our other friends! We often have a laugh at photos of us together back then....a little cringe but at the time we thought we looked so bomb.
Fast forward almost ten years and we are now both freelance Makeup Artists! We have much of the same interests being fashion, makeup, Youtube and Food. If you don't follow Michaela already you definitely should she is Incredibly talented, humble and hilarious! Earlier this week she came up to Auckland as she lives in Maketu, Bay of Plenty. She came to stay with me and we thought it would be fun to do each others makeup and I did her hair also. Though I'll admit I was super nervous to do it because her makeup is always absolutely FLAWLESS! We had so much fun together laughing our heads off which if you follow me on snapchat you would have seen!
Michaela was amazing and let me do whatever I wanted! So naturally I just wanted to do a look that I love doing on myself to see how it translated on her beautiful dark features - Super Glam eyes, Winged Liner, Lashes and Glowy skin.

Here is a break down of what I used and in the order I applied everything to her face:

Face Primer - Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base (my kit must have)
Eyeshadow Primer - Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ocre
Brows - Benefit Ka brow in Shade 5, Benefit Gimme Brow in Deep and Benefit Ready Set Brow.
Eyeshadow - I used two palettes, Too Faced Chocolate bar palette for the matte shades and Dose of Colours Hidden Treasure Palette for the shimmers
Liner - Inglot gel Liner #77 & Mac Black Boot Liquid Liner
Mascara - Loreal Super Star in Black
Lashes - Huda Beauty in the style Sasha
Foundation - (her own) Makeup Forever HD Foundation Stick & NARS all day weightless luminous
Concealer - Mac Pro Longwear NC30
Undereye setting powder - Laura Mercier loose translucent setting powder
Face Powder - Mac Mineralise Skin Finish in Medium tan
Bronzer - Bobbi Brown Golden Light
Contour - Kat Von D Shade and Light palette
Highlighter - Dior Nude Air Luminizer
Blush - Melba by Mac
Lips - NYX matte lip cream in Abu Dhabi (Michaelas Personal Favourite)
Setting Spray - Smashbox photo finish primer water
