A peak at some of the things Ive been loving and thought they were worth a mention!
1. Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
Re Discovering an old favourite that I have had in my collection for so long but forgot about it! A medium coverage with a skin like finish that looks super heathy and dewy but doesnt go oily or break up on my skin through out the day. This looks so flawless yet natural, I get the most comments on my skin when I wear this base.
Lately I have found that less is more when it comes to foundation for me, Ive been trying to focus on concealing my problem areas more and letting the skin show through in areas that are looking good.
I think most of us can say we have had that moment where you leave the house having just put a full face of makeup on thinking damn I look flawless! Then 6 hours later checking yourself in the mirror and thinking oh my god what happened?!
I find the less is more technique perfect for summer and helps combat this happening.
Working long days doing hair and makeup my makeup holds up better in the heat and I dont look like an absolute mess by the end of the day.
I wear shade 3.5
2. Mecca Cosmetica Enlightened Lit from within Powder
Its only fitting to say "ITS LIT' when using this powder on my face! Sometimes I try a product in store and I just know its going to be amazing so because this one is limited edition I purchased two one for my personal makeup bag and one for my kit.
Ive never known Mecca to do a powder highlight before but this stuff is AH-MAZING!
Super fine and not chunky on the skin, The shade is beautifully neutral so suits most skin tones sitting somewhere in the middle not too pink or not too golden, more of a champagne.
$50 from Mecca Cosmetica or Mecca Maxima
3. Zoeva 134 Luxe powder fusion
My absolute holy grail highlighting brush! This and the mecca powder are a total powerhouse together. Its the perfect shape being tapered enough to create dimension on the high points of the face but yet soft and fluffy enough to make it blend extremely well.
$28 from sephora.nz
4.Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 54 Boy
My obsession with sheer barely there lip colour continues! I cant remeber the last time I wore a liquid lipstick,I feel like my love for wearing this kind of lip has almost entirely put me off wearing liquid matte lipsticks. But on a contrary to that I will tell you with this sort of lipstick formula they arent the longest wearing and you will have to touch up a couple of times in the day but I think it looks so pretty and feminine paired with soft makeup.
It makes me feel as though its something that the french women would wear to give that effortless look!
$62 from Farmers Chanel counter
5. Clay Bird Ceramics
My newest homeware addiction! How cute are these little jars and ring bowl tho?? I recently dicovered Yon Cavvas beautiful creations on instagram and immediately began stalking her craft.
She posted about being at the Auckland Fair last weekend so I dragged the hubby along on a sunday to pick up some goodies, Im glad I got there as soon as it opened becasue her stall was swarmed within minutes!
I love supporting and buying local so I feel like these hand made beauties are the perfect addition to house your trinkets and treasures
6.YSL Touche Eclat Blur primer
Very sad to be on the last days of using this as you can see! Ive never really been into the 'silicone' feeling primers but this one is different! Im sure I have mentioned it on the blog before as Ive been using it almost all year. It melts into the skin and makes all my pores seem barely visible, making foundation glide over like a dream, and I wont lie I makes me feel super luxurious when I use it!
$92 from farmers or smith and caugheys
