Next week I am off to Melbourne for a long overdue visit to see my Bestie Jamie! I am SO excited to see her, all we typically like to do when we are together is Eat, Drink wine and LOL.
I guess you could say the only activities we will be doing is shopping! Which I am more than ok with.
I do have one task while Im over there and thats to find wedding shoes!
So I thought this weeks post would be a good idea to show you what I will be packing in my makeup bag, Which I take very seriously.
Now my philosophy when I travel is pretty much two of everything...well almost because a girl has to have options and I like to split my pickings into two categories..Day Makeup and evening makeup. Everything has to be long lasting because aint no body got time for touch ups!

First things first..I have chosen two primers that I have been absolutely loving! The genuine glow from Estee Lauder for a nice day time primer that keeps me hydrated.
The YSL for night time as it really keeps my makeup on and is super smoothing
Day time foundation - my tried and true Nars Sheer Glow is like good skin in a bottle! Nuff Said.
Night time foundation - Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation. I don't think I have anything that is as full coverage as this stuff?! Absolutely flawless and long wearing perfect a night out on the town :)
The two concealers I have picked to bring are Nars creamy radiant concealer in Vanilla and Maybelline master conceal in Light. Which are both very different in texture but still each deliver awesome coverage that don't crease or look cakey.
My holy grail eye shadow primer which I have brought time and time again - Mac paint pot in Soft Ocre.
To Make sure my face isn't going to budge all day/night my go to setting spray is the Loreal Infallible fixing mist

Face Powders
I almost always bring out the Hourglass holiday edit palette when Im travelling because I mean look at it.. Its just so perfect for travel with two blushers, One Bronzer and three highlighting face powders. Any normal person would just stop at the palette and call it a day but not me! Like I said.. safety in numbers here so I had to pack a few other options. One being my jumbo Bobbi Brown bronzer in Golden Light. Bobbi Brown Highlighter in Afternoon Glow has been my obsession lately so that had to come along.
The others are kind of just boring staples that I can't go without... Mac Mineralise Skin Finish in Light Plus, Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder in Medium and to set my concealer I use the Dior Matte perfection Invisible loose powder
The little Bobbi Brown pot is my secret weapon for invincible and flawless makeup when going out - Retouching powder in yellow.

I won't go on too much but here is my choices for browns, Liner and Mascara
The new benefit brow range is ridiculously good! I like to use Kabrow and ready set brow for evening/going out and Gimme Brown and maybe a touch of 3D Brow tones during the day for a quick and soft brow
Ingot gel liner and Mac Liquid liner are both equally pigmented and long wearing and you can't beat Eyeko for seriously long and defined lashes Which does not smudge or flake throughout the day.

The Ingot Freedom palette which I created myself  has everything I need from matte to shimmer. I love the look of metallic eyes at night. To the point where your lids almost look wet so the Dose Of Colours Hidden Treasure palette eyeshadows deliver exactly that they are so incredibly foiled looking, Add some winged liner, false lashes and your ready to party!
I did depot these into this smaller Mac palette for the purpose of travelling

So Thats everything I will be taking along with me, Everything fits nicely into one of my mac zuca pouches. I don't like to pack light thats for sure!
No doubt I will come home with a massive haul of bits and bobs that we can't get here in NZ, I am very excited that Melbourne now has sephora!
